Augusta was trained as a medical doctor at the University of Bangui, then went on to take a Master’s in Cosmetic Science at the University of London. She returned to the Central African Republic in 2004 with a simple conviction: that the next generation of African beauty brands would be built by people who understood both the chemistry of an emulsion and the realities of a francophone African market.
Two decades later, she has trained more than two thousand formulators, consulted for over forty brands across central and west Africa, and built one of the continent’s most respected ingredient libraries. Austacs is the public face of all that work — a marketplace, a journal, and an academy under one roof.
